Photography is more than simply taking pictures—it's about telling stories, preserving memories, and capturing the moments that often pass unnoticed. Every photograph has the power to evoke emotion, spark conversation, and become part of someone's personal history. That's what inspires me every time I pick up a camera.

After retiring from a rewarding 36-year career in nursing, I chose to pursue my lifelong passion for photography professionally. I returned to education to develop my skills, earning professional qualifications and continuing to expand my creative practice. My previous career taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and building genuine connections with people—qualities that remain at the heart of how I work with every client.

Whether I'm photographing a family celebration, a sporting event, a theatre performance, or a business, or developing a documentary project, I approach every commission with the same commitment: to create natural, authentic images that tell a story and stand the test of time.

My work has been recognised through national awards, including being named Scottish Opera Student Image of the Year, and I continue to develop my craft through personal projects that explore people, places, and the stories that connect us.
